This Macbeth course is a comprehensive online tuition course for students studying Macbeth for their GCSEs. Getting to grips with Shakespearean language can be challenging, but these audio lessons take students through the entire play scene-by-scene explaining the plot, translating the language, analysing key quotes, examining character and setting, discussing themes and context, and giving exam tips along the way.
All students will receive worksheets and revision resources to complete as we move through the course to encourage them to engage with the material and put their new knowledge to the test.They will also have the chance to get personalised feedback on their work.

Who is it for?

This course is designed for GCSE students aiming for grades 5-9. The course is suitable for all exam boards. All students need is a copy of the play text, and some familiarity with the main plot. The course would suit students who are new to the play or those who know the play well but are looking for that extra boost to give them the edge in their exams.

How does it work?
You will have full access to the course for one year, so you can complete it in your own time. Students will be sent a link they can use to access all the audio lessons and worksheets for the course. I recommend that students use the audio lessons to annotate their copies of the texts. The worksheets are designed to complement the audio lessons and all the information students need to complete them is covered on the course. These then make excellent revision resources come exam time!
If you have chosen the Silver or Gold options, students can share their completed Act Review work and will receive personalised feedback to help them progress in both their knowledge of the play and their writing skills.
For additional feedback, the Gold option also includes 2x 30 minute one-to-one Zoom sessions where students can raise any queries about the play or their work.
